Backed by the lush hills of Oahu, Villa Luana is an unforgettable tropical oasis. Its name translates roughly to relaxing, living in comfort and enjoying yourself—and it’s designed to give groups of extended family or friends the quiet, private space to do just that. Of course, if you’d like to explore, world-class beaches are only a few minutes away from this ocean-view paradise.
The heart of Villa Luana is a pool courtyard that feels like your own luxury resort, from the waterfall feature in the pool itself to the loungers and shaded sitting area. Soak in the sun from a separate lanai, serve local seafood from the barbecue and watch the stars come out from the upper-level deck. Finish the evening by catching the game on the satellite telvision, playing a round or two of video games or sharing photos of your holiday via Wi-Fi.
Clean-lined furnishings and natural textures like limestone and hardwood floors give the interiors of this contemporary vacation rental a modern Hawaiian look with a warm, inviting feel. Gather in the larger entertaining areas or use the villa’s multiple separate living areas to catch up on reading—or steal a nap. In addition to sunshine-filled living and dining rooms, there’s a fully equipped gourmet kitchen.
There are five bedrooms in the main house at Villa Luana and one in a guest house. In the main house, you’ll find one master suite with a king bed and en-suite bathroom, two bedrooms with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, and two bedrooms with shared bathrooms that have a queen bed and two twin beds, respectively. With a queen bed, en-suite bathroom, living area and kitchenette, the guest house could be used as a honeymoon-suite-style retreat or quiet accommodations for in-laws.
Though you could easily spend your stay at the villa, the area is well worth exploring. Nearby Hanauma Bay has excellent snorkeling, Waimanalo Beach has been rated first in the world for its brilliant waters and no vacation to Oahu is complete without a visit to legendary Waikiki Beach. For shopping, dining and entertainment, make the 5-minute drive into the upscale town of Hawaii Kai.
